Stealth Fuel Tank FAQs
Do I need to buy a fuel pump or is it included?
All of our Gen II Stealth Tanks come up with an integrated stealth pump that runs 200lph, 340lph, or 525lph.
How many liters per hour does the fuel pump supply?
We offer 200lph and 340lph integrated pump options on all of our Gen II Stealth Tanks. For select applications, we also offer a 525lph which is typically used in Hellcat engine swaps.
I need a larger pump. Can I spec the tank with a larger pump, or add a larger pump/second pump at a later time?
Our Stealth tanks are designed with a 200/340 and in some cases a 525, but due to the design we cannot add anything larger than what they are spec’d with. Adding a larger pump or second pump in the tank would cause a restriction in flow at the top hat as it is only designed for the flow of the 200/340 and in some cases the 525.
Do you make fuel tanks to support Hellcat engine swaps?
Yes, Aeromotive has a line of Gen II Stealth tanks that offer a 525lph fuel pump option which is purpose built for Hellcat engine swap projects. We also offer a standalone fuel pump for 2015-2021 Hellcat vehicles and a standalone fuel pump for 2020-2021 Jeep Gladiator Hellcat engine swaps. You can find our full list of Hellcat fuel options on the Hellcat Fuel Pumps & Engine Swaps category page.
Are the fuel level senders compatible with all OEM and aftermarket fuel gauges?
The fuel level senders are OEM style units, and are designed to work with the respective manufacturer’s gauges. These will also work with most aftermarket gauges. If you are using Dakota Digital, there are specific installation instructions that can be found in our FAQ’s.
Can the stealth tank/pumps be run on PWM (pulse width modulation)?
While our pumps are PWM compatible, the tank design is not specifically PWM compatible without modification.
I don’t see my application- can I custom order a tank?
We offer a wide range of tanks for different applications. We are continually looking to expand this due to customer demand, so if you don’t see your application please contact us in tech support for more information. However at this time, we do not have the ability to custom order any tanks for applications not listed in our catalog.
I’m running a carburetor- which regulator do I use with the Stealth EFI pump in the tank?
We have a few options for you. If you are naturally aspirated and have no plans to add boost, you can use our 13220 dual diaphragm regulator which we designed specifically for our Stealth tank customers with carburetors. You can also use our 13204 A1000 carbureted regulator for naturally aspirated engines, but this regulator is also set up for boosted applications.
I'm using a carburetor and don’t want to use a return line Can I use a dead head regulator?
EFI pumps will require a return regulator and return line, and cannot be used with dead head regulators.
