New Brushless Fuel Pump Series
Aeromotive, the market leader in fuel delivery systems and components, introduces the company’s first brushless fuel pump series – four new brushless pumps (A1000, Eliminator, 3.5 GPM and 5.0 GPM Gear Pumps), are available in three different configurations: 1) external in-line, 2) direct drop-in replacement for the Aeromotive COPO, Cobra Jet or Drag Pak, or 3) as complete fuel cells available in 6, 15 or 20 gallon capacities.
Aeromotive would now like to introduce their all-new Variable-Speed Controlled Brushless Pumps and Controller. Aeromotive has pioneered speed controlled fuel pumps in the past with its brush-style pumps, enhancing the ability to take high horsepower pumps and put them on the street. The new Variable-Speed Controlled pumps do the same for brushless applications by reducing fuel flow during low-demand situations. Reducing fuel flow from the tank to the engine and back helps combat overheating of the fuel while limiting the noise bigger pumps produce. The lower fuel flow will also extend the already long life of Aeromotive’s brushless pumps.
The Variable-Speed Controllers include a 0-5V analog input that allows for infinite speed control in the set voltage range. They will be included on new brushless pumps and are easily retrofit to existing Aeromotive models with a simple three-wire hookup.
Brushless motors use sensors to monitor the angle of the rotor for faster and more reliable phase shifting allowing for more torque capacity and efficiency. The armature in a brushless motor is stationary. Instead, the magnets rotate around the armature and the motor controller manages the phase shift to keep the motor in motion providing more torque per watt, higher torque to weight ratio, lower noise and higher reliability. With a higher level of efficiency, down to fractions of a second in speed control, the new Aeromotive brushless fuel pumps provide precise control of fuel pressure under tight tolerances resulting in less current draw, less heat and extended life. Now there is the ability to upgrade to a premium brushless pump for faster, more reliable and uninterrupted fuel delivery with less power consumption and potential for wear or failure.
For classic performance with more heart, Aeromotive offers the A1000 and Eliminator. Built for 70psi of sustained pressure, both feature a roller vane design that reduces friction and improves efficiency.
The Brushless A1000 has a flow rate of 700 lbs./hr. @ 45 psi, 13.5 volts with -10 AN inlet and outlet. It is available as an external in-line option, #11124, or direct drop-in, #18023. The A1000 is also available as a complete fuel cell in either a 6 gallon #18366, 15 gallon #18360 or 20 gallon capacity, #18361.

For minimal drop in flow at high pressures, Aeromotive offers two gear pumps with a mini spur gear design that allows for higher pressures with minimal drop in flow. The 3.5 GPM and the 5.0 GPM brushless gear pumps are able to move more fluid and sustain higher pressures without failure. The new pumps are engineered to handle extreme fuel flow demands with sustained flow at high pressure.
The 3.5 GPM Gear Pump, a step-up from the Eliminator and the entry level unit in geared pumps, flows 3.5 gallons per minute. Featuring a -12 AN inlet and -10 AN outlet, this brushless gear pump is available as an external in-line, #11181, direct drop-in, #18025, or as a complete fuel cell in 6 gallon, #18376, 15 gallon, #18370, or 20 gallon, #18371.

- Carbureted engines: Supports up to 2,600 FWHP /Naturally Aspirated – up to 2,000 FWHP / Forced Air Induction
The 5.0 GPM Gear Pump, the flagship of Aeromotive electric fuel pumps, yields 5 gallons per minute which is the highest flowing electric pump at pressures above 40 psi in the market. It features a -12 AN inlet and -10 AN outlet and is available as an external in-line, #11182, direct drop-in, #18026, or as a complete fuel cell in 6 gallon, #18377, 15 gallon, #18372, or 20 gallon, #18373.

Steve Matusek, President of Aeromotive, says, “These brushless gear pumps are game changers. Our goal was to have electric pumps compatible with all fuels that flow more at higher pressures than any other competitors. We achieved that utilizing the highest standard of quality material, processes and attention to detail our customers have come to expect.”
