Aeromotive Teams Up with Nostalgia Nitro Funny Car Team
2 min read
When Howard Bugg and son Nate started Nostalgia Nitro Funny Car Racing they had no one to run against, today that has changed dramatically, with in excess of 50 serious regular competitors in the NHRA Heritage Series. This past winter has the seen the original “Bugsy’s East Side Gang” go back to the drawing board in an effort to compete with what has become a highly competitive and burgeoning class.
Last winter the team was very fortunate to bring on board BDS (Blower Drive Service) Whittier Ca, where Nate has worked building high quality Superchargers for the past 10 years. “We built our current BDS Monza as a tribute to the late great Al Hoffmann that was in line with the long and successful relationship that Al had with BDS,” said Nate
The Team is now very proud to announce that Aeromotive Inc. (Kansas City, Ka) will join BDS and Chem-Tech Int’l, as a Major Partners supporting the car for the 2011 NHRA Heritage Series. “This is a very exciting and positive development for us,” said Team Patriarch Howard Bugg. “Aeromotive Inc, is a high profile company manufacturing high quality Fuel Systems and Accessories and we are extremely proud to welcome them to our new family of sponsors and work with them on some R&D projects. Aeromotive Inc. President Steve Matusek said, “We’re very excited to team up with these guys. We’ve been looking for the right opportunity to be more involved with Nostalgia Drag Racing and with our new development of a Nitro Funny Car Fuel Pump; we knew we would need the right partners. Who better than Lil’ Nate and his team? We’re looking forward to a great and exciting 2011 season.”
Nate Bugg said: “This is an exciting time for our Team – we have struggled with budgets over recent years and the addition of Aeromotive Inc. and our support sponsors is a real step forward for us. Even more positive is the fact that Blower Drive Service has shown great faith and support for us to again carry their corporate identity and I am very proud to do so for BDS, Chem-Tech, and Aeromotive Inc. for 2011. We greatly appreciate all of the support we have enlisted and I can’t wait to hit the gas at “The Patch” in March.”
