The Pro Mod Camaro duo that makes up the Aeromotive/Agave Underground Tequila team is getting situated in Atlanta today for the NHRA Summit Southern Nationals this weekend. The Southern Nationals is the third race of the season for the RPM: Real Pro Mod class. Both cars have had success qualifying for the past two races, but have yet to make it past first round. “Eliminations have been tough,” says Aeromotive President and CEO Steve Matusek, driver of the 1969 Camaro. “We’ve had a bit of bad luck on our side and we’re hoping to change that here in Atlanta.” Danny Rowe, team owner and driver of the 1968 Camaro, echoes Matusek’s sentiments. “It was disappointing to not make it to Sunday racing, but we have a really great team and we’re confident that we’ll come back strong this weekend.” Qualifying begins at 3:15 Friday afternoon.
