Aeromotive records the fastest pass in NMCA history!
Aeromotive’s President, Steve Matusek broke the NMCA mile per hour record by more than 16 mph this past weekend at the NMCA World Street Finals in Indianapolis, IN. The twin turbo, Roush Yates Ford powered Mustang laid down a 6.11 @ 250.41, the fastest pass ever in the NMCA and the 1st over 250 mph.
Equally impressive, Matusek recorded consistency with 3 consecutive runs of 6.11 @ 250.41, 6.07 @ 248 and 6.08 @ 249.
This marks the first ever NMCA participation from the Aeromotive crew with this car. The older Aeromotive Mustang, powered by the famous Ford Modular Motor, now piloted by John Mihovetz still holds the NMRA Record for the quickest and fastest pass in NMRA history with an impressive, 6.54 @ 215.48

Joining Steve and the Aeromotive crew in the record books this weekend was Pro Street racer, Chris Rini, also fueled by Aeromotive. Rini recorded the quickest pass in NMCA history with a 5.98 @ 236.46 and the 1st ever in the 5′s. Rini who edged out fellow Aeromotive fueled racer, Billy Glidden in round 2 finally dropped in round 4 keeping him at #2 overall in points for the 2011 NMCA Pro Street class.
